Columbia, SC – Authorities are responding to a shooting incident at Columbia Place Mall on Tooch Road, where one individual has been shot and transported to the hospital. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating the situation and conducting a search for the suspect.

News 19 reporter Chris English, reporting live from the scene, provided the latest updates. According to law enforcement, deputies received a call around 3:30 PM regarding the shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment, though their condition has not yet been disclosed.
